Sound & music gallery
I'd like to think that I can compose in pretty much any style, from rock to Mozart quartets, from Eurotrash and big beat to jazz. I was fortunate (!) to have a pretty rigorous classical training in composition (Oxford music degree, for my sins...), but I've always listened to, and attempted to be involved in, the widest range of music.
I'd particularly sell myself on my ability to synchronize very closely to visual action (which is one reason why original compositions can be more effective than library music). There are a couple of motion graphic examples ("My glitterball heart" and "The machine breaks") in the video gallery. I'll be putting up some more examples when I can.

Making glass - film for Frome TV.
I wrote this baroque fugue to accompany a short video for Frome TV. Here's what FromeTV said about it: "FromeTV are especially excited about this film edited by newcomer Patrick Dunn. Patrick is a multi talented film maker. He composed the music and also created the ident for this elegant film."
Cosmic Ray
A cartoon sound track that I did as an exercise for the Music and the Media training course. It's based on a trailer for "Cosmic Ray". Important: there are no sound effects in this version; they're added later, so some of this feels a bit empty.
Viola Loops
This is a live looping piece for 5 string viola, Ableton Live, Max/MSP and pedals.
